Native Instruments are spreading seasonal joy and giving away a Kontakt based Instrument totally Free !
The tiny ballerina atop this music box and her creaking tin companion may seem a mismatched pair, but dancing together they conjure up a world of twisted, evolving sounds.
The brainchild of sonic craftsman Jeremiah Savage, KINETIC TREATS is a unique KONTAKT instrument based on the timeless sounds of vintage children’s toys. As the two figures move around the room, the sound morphs and changes – all the way from delicate and airy, to dark and eerie.
HoRNet Harmonics is a wave shaper based on the Chebyshev polynomials. Its non-linear processing lets you adjust the level of harmonics added to the signal, warming it up in different ways.
The plugin provides 10 harmonics generators of which you can set the amplitude and phase, increasing or decreasing the impact of the harmonic on the input signal. The resulting sine wave equivalent shape is displayed on the right side of the GUI.
About UAD Thunderbolt Compatibility with Windows 10 Systems
UAD v9.0.0 introduces Windows 10 PC compatibility with all Thunderbolt-equipped Apollo and UAD-2 products (Apollo 8, Apollo 8p, Apollo 16 MkII, Apollo Twin Thunderbolt, UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt, and first-generation silver Apollo/Apollo 16 models equipped with a Thunderbolt Option Card).
Apollo Thunderbolt models can be combined with UAD-2 PCIe cards and UAD-2 Satellite (Thunderbolt, FireWire, and USB models). For details, see this article.
Both the original Thunderbolt 1 Option Card and the newer Thunderbolt 2 Option Card for Apollo are compatible.
Apollo Thunderbolt cannot be combined with Apollo FireWire or Apollo Twin USB (multiple Apollo connection types are incompatible).
Connecting more than one Apollo unit via Thunderbolt is currently incompatible. This feature will be available in a future software release.

iZotope’s new free plugin, Neutrino, is designed to improve the overall spectral balance of an entire mix by making subtle changes to each individual track on which it’s used, bringing unprecedented balance, clarity, and focus to your mixes. Unlike traditional compressors and equalizers, Neutrino analyzes the incoming audio and applies gentle amounts of dynamics processing across dozens of psychoacoustically spaced frequency bands. It customizes the processing based on four modes: voice, instrument, bass, and drums, to smooth out unwanted peaks across the spectrum transparently, and allows you to adjust the amount and detail of the processing with two simple controls.
